Overview

CartSnap is a grocery run calculator app that uses on-device AI to scan price tags and help you track your spending. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app — everything runs locally on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

Camera images: Photos taken for price scanning are processed entirely on your device using local AI models. Images are never uploaded to any server.
Shopping data: Your cart items, prices, and shopping history are stored locally on your device only. We have no access to this data.
AI processing: All AI/OCR processing happens on-device. No data is sent to cloud APIs or third-party services.
Analytics: We do not use any analytics, tracking, or telemetry services.
Advertising: The app contains no ads and no advertising SDKs.

Permissions

CartSnap requests the following device permissions:

Camera: Required to scan price tags. Photos are processed locally and are not stored permanently unless you choose to save them.
Storage: Used to download and store the on-device AI model for offline price scanning.

Third-Party Services

CartSnap does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app is designed to function completely offline.

Data Storage

All app data (shopping history, preferences, AI models) is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app will remove all associated data.

Future Updates

Future versions of CartSnap may introduce optional premium features. If any future feature requires data processing beyond your device, we will update this privacy policy and request your explicit consent before any data leaves your device.

Children's Privacy

CartSnap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
